Story:Jesus loves people. Even when they do not believe Him, He still loves them. When the man was healed and walking around the locals became very angry, for they thought carrying his mat on the sabbath day was wrong. Story: John 4:46-54 Jesus loves everyone and wants everyone to have eternal with hm and the father. He met a man whos son was sick and Jesus healed him The man knew that the Lord Jesus Christ had healed his son. He told his whole household how Jesus healed his son. Story: John 4:1-30. Jesus met a lonely and lost woman at the well one day. He knew she needed to hear the truth about life in him. Story: 2 Kings 6:1-13. Elisha’s servant sees God’s protection. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” ~ 2 Kings 6:16

Main Truths: God is sovereign (all powerful ruler) over kings and nations. God knows all things. God desires His servants to see with eyes of faith; trusting God in all battles.

8/28/16

Story: 2 Kings 5:1-15. Naaman was cured of his leprosy. It all started with a young person sharing what they knew about God. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God…” 1 Peter 5:6

Main Truths: Naaman’s servant girl shared the truth about God with her master. Naaman’s skin was sick with leprosy. Naaman’s soul was sick with the sin of pride. Naaman had to humble himself and God healed him.

Story: 1 Kings 19:16-21. 2 Kings 2:1-15. God gives Elijah a helper named Elisha. Elijah is taken to heaven in a whirlwind. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “…and my reward is with my God.” Isaiah 49:4

Main Truths: God rewards His faithful servants. God provides for His servants. Elijah did not die, but was taken to heaven alive. God is all-powerful.

Main Verse: “In God I trust, I will not be afraid…” ~Psalm 56:11 NIV

Main Truths: God is our Provider; God gives all that we need. God tenderly cares for His people when they are afraid. Elijah saw God’s power in the wind, earthquake and fire; but heard God’s voice in a whisper.

Story: 1 Kings 8. God proves that Baal is a false god on Mt. Carmel. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Truths: The Lord God is the only true God. God alone is to be worshiped. God is all-powerful.

7/31/16

Story: 1 Kings 16:29-17:7. God takes care of Elijah through the widow. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.”  Psalm 54:4 NIV

Main Truths: God is all-powerful and ruler over all things everywhere. God provides for those who obey Him. God made the flour and oil in the widow’s jar last many days (about 3 years).

Story: 1 Kings 16:29-17:7. God takes care of Elijah at the brook Cherith. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: Psalm 121:2 “My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.”

Main Truths: King Ahab and Queen Jezebel were evil leaders in Israel. Elijah boldly confronted the evil leaders. God always provides someone to help His people. God provided all that Elijah needed. Elijah knew and obeyed the Word of God.

Story: 1 Chronicles 17:1-17 and 1 Chronicles 22:7-8, 11-12, 2 Chronicles 1:7-13. God tells David not to build a temple and Solomon asks for wisdom from God. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse:“How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!” – Proverbs 16:16 NIV

Main Truths: God’s Words brings God’s wisdom. God’s wisdom is true treasure. Solomon asked for wisdom from God.

7/10/16

Story:2 Samuel 5:18-6:23 with 1 Chronicles 13, 15, 16. The Ark of the Covenant returned to Israel.  The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse:“…Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad.” 1 Chronicles 16:10

Main Truths: David asked his leaders, not God what should be done. Doing the right thing the wrong way is still wrong before God. Disobedience to God’s Word always brings hurt and sadness. David and the men tried to move the Ark an easy way instead of the correct way-it did not work. When David listened and obeyed God’s ways there was joy and the Ark was brought into Jerusalem with rejoicing. Obedience to God brings joy and blessing.

Story: Exodus 25:1-22, Exodus 37:1-9, Deuteronomy 10:1-5, Deuteronomy 31:25-26, Exodus 16:33-34, Hebrews 9 and John 20:11-12. God teaches His people, Israel, about the coming work of Jesus through the Tabernacle and commands Moses to build the Ark of the Covenant.  The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “…we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” ~ Romans 5:1b

Main Truths: God taught His people, Israel, about the coming work of Jesus through the Tabernacle.-God commanded Moses to make the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark of the Covenant pictured God’s promise; God would make a way to live with His people. – God wanted His people to live by faith and trust His promise. Jesus life, death and resurrection fulfilled the Ark’s promise; God’s law was kept and sin was paid for. – God keeps His promises!

Story: 1 Samuel 16:1-13 God chooses David to be king. God knew that David had a heart after His own heart.  The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “…The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”~1 Samuel 16:7

Story: Matthew 6:5-15, Matthew 7:7-11, Luke 11:1-13. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” ~Matthew 7:7

Main Truths: Prayer is talking to God. Jesus taught His disciples how to pray. God wants us to ask, seek, and knock—to trust Him completely in faith.

5/22/16

Story: Judges 6-8. God calls Gideon. Gideon cuts down his father’s idol. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “God is our refuge and strength…” Psalm 46:1

Main Truths: Gideon’s people experienced problems because they had turned away from the LORD. God called Gideon to tear down his father’s idol (idols are things we trust in more than God). Gideon was to trust God; God gives His power to those He calls to work for Him.

5/15/16

Story: Numbers 13-14. The 12 spies go into the land. 10 of the spies said the people were too big and they shouldn’t enter the promised land. Joshua and Caleb trusted God and wanted to go into the land. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “Trust in the Lord forever.” Isaiah 26:4

Main Truths: God wants His people to trust Him. Joshua and Caleb trusted God to give them to Promised Land. Joshua and Caleb were able to live in the Promised Land because they trusted God

Story: Revelation 22:6-21. John is told that Jesus is returning soon. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “Look, I am coming soon!” –Revelation 22:7

Main Truths: Jesus is coming soon; God wants His people ready for Jesus’ return. Only God is to be worshipped. Angels are God’s servants.

5/1/16

Story: Genesis 1, Isaiah 65:17-19, Zephaniah 3:17, John 14:1-3, Revelation 21:1-5. Jesus saved us from sin so that we get to live forever with God in heaven. Heaven is a perfect place where people live with Jesus. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people and He will dwell with them.” Revelation 21:3

Main Truths: Heaven is the eternal home God is preparing for His children. People who believe in Jesus are God’s children and will go to live in heaven with Him. In heaven, everything is good. Heaven is where God lives.

4/24/16

Story: Revelation 21:9-22:5. John sees what the holy city will look like. God’s people will serve him with joy and reign with Him forever and ever! The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light.” Revelation 21:23

Main Truths: John saw the Holy City coming down from heaven. God will be the light in the city. Only what is pure can enter the city. Everything God does is glorious. God will live with His people and they will reign with Him forever.

4/17/16

Story: Revelation 20:11-21:8. We live in the first earth which has some good things but also has some bad things like sin. This earth will one day pass away and God will replace it with the new earth. On this earth, God will live with His people and all the bad things of the old earth will be gone. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth…” ~Revelation 21:1

Main Truths: God showed John the new earth. Our earth will pass away. God will live with His people. All the sadness of this world will be gone forever.

4/10/16

Story: Revelation 20:1-10. Satan has chosen to be God’s enemy. Satan tell lies about God.  One day Satan will be locked in the abyss and won’t be able to tell anymore lies about God. After this, Jesus will rule for 1000 years and we will be there with Him!The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “They will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:6

Main Truths: God will remove Satan forever. God’s enemy, Satan, tries to trick people with lies about God. God’s people will be given new bodies. God’s people will reign with Jesus for 1000 years

4/3/16

Story: Jesus returns to earth riding a white horse! He defeats all His enemies, including Satan! The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True.”- Revelation 19:11

Main Truths: Jesus is the King over all kings. Jesus will have victory over God’s enemies. No power is like the power of Jesus’ words.

3/27/16

Story: Matthew 26-28, Mark 14:32-51, 15:42-47, Luke 23, John 18-20

Jesus’ Death and Ressurection: Jesus was arrested, treated badly, and died for our sins. This fulfilled what the Bible said would happen. Jesus always knew He would die on the cross because that was God’s plan to save us from our sins.  Three days later He rose from the dead! Main Verse: “…He has risen, just as He said.” ~ Matthew 28:6

Main Truths: The Lord Jesus always did the will of God, His Father. Jesus allowed Himself to be arrested, beaten, crucified and die; it was His plan to pay sin’s penalty. Jesus is alive! The tomb is empty! All who trust Jesus as Savior have eternal life.

3/20/16

Story: Matthew 21:1-17, Mark 11:1-11,Luke 19:28-44, John 12:12-19. Psalm Sunday: Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a Donkey. This fulfilled what the Bible said would happen. Jesus always knew He would die on the cross because that was God’s plan. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord…” Psalm 118:26

Main Truths: Jesus knows all things–Jesus knew all that He would suffer to take away the sin of the world. Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey while people shouted praises, “Hosanna-save now!” All of God’s Words come true. What men meant for evil, God used for the greatest good.

3/13/16

Story: Revelation 17; Acts 3:1-4:22. Peter and John heal the disabled man through Jesus’ power. Peter and John told the people about Jesus even though they got put in jail. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” –Acts 4:20

Main Truths: Jesus’ people speak His truth to those who do not believe the truth. Jesus’ power healed the man who could not walk. Peter boldly spoke the truth.

3/7/16

2/21/16

Story: 1 Kings 18:16-40. Elijah offers a sacrifice to God in the presence of the false priests who worshiped Baal. God proves that Baal is a false god.  The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “Fear God and give Him glory….Worship Him who made the heavens.” Revelation 14:7

Main Truths: Only God is to be worshipped. The Israelite people worshipped God after the saw God’s power. Those who worshipped the false God, Baal, were punished.

2/7/16

Story: Job. God allows Satan to take away Job’s blessings, but Job continued to love and trust God. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “…may the name of the Lord be praised.” Job 1:21 NIV

Main Truths: God’s faithful people love God when trouble comes. Satan wanted Job to stop loving and worshipping God. Satan brought trouble to Job’s life. Job kept loving and worshipping God.

1/31/16

Story: Revelation 12, Matthew 4:1-11, Acts 2:23. Satan tempts Jesus in the wilderness. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “Surely as I have planned, so it will be.” Isaiah 14:24

Main Truths: What God plans always happens. Satan is God’s enemy. Satan tries to stop God’s plans, but God is more powerful than Satan.

Story: Joshua 1, Joshua 6. God promises the land to Israel and knocks down the walls at Jericho. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here .

Main Verse: “…for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Main Truths: God gives His people power to serve Him. God helps His people during hard times. Nothing can stand against God’s power. God’s power broke down the walls of Jericho

1/10/16

Story: Luke 2:39-53. Mary and Joseph find Jesus in the temple. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse:“Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord.” Colossians 3:20

Main Truths: The Lord Jesus always obeyed God, His Father. In the temple the twelve-year old Lord Jesus listened, asked questions and obeyed God’s Words. Jesus grew up physically, mentally and spiritually just as every other person; but without the sin nature of desiring His own way above God’s. By obeying His earthly parents, Jesus was obeying God, His Father.

Main Verse: “In the beginning was the Word …and the Word was God.” John 1:1

Main Truths: The Bible is all about Jesus. Another name for Jesus is “The Word.” Jesus is eternal-He has always existed as God, the Son (Trinity).

Story: Luke 2:1-20. Jesus is born on Christmas and is visited by the shepherds. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “For today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11

Main Truths: Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The angels announced Jesus’ birth declaring Him the Savior, The Christ and the Lord. Jesus is God’s only way of peace between God and people. Another of Jesus’ names is Savior and the Door.

12/20/15

Story: Matthew 1 Isaiah 9:6. The angels visit Mary and Joesph and tell them that Mary will give birth to Jesus who is the Savior from our sins. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “…and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

Main Truths: Jesus’ name means “He will save His people from their sin.” Jesus is the only Savior from sin. Jesus is the Son of God. God keeps His promises.

12/13/15

Story: Genesis 3, Luke 2:11. God promised Adam and Eve that He would send a Savior. That Savior is Jesus whose birth we celebrate at Christmas. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here.

Main Verse: “…He keeps every promise forever” Psalm 146:6

Main Truths:God promised to send the Messiah, His Son Jesus, long ago. God always keeps His promises. Jesus is God’s Son.

Main Verse: “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved” Joel 2:32

Main Truths: A time called the day of the LORD is coming. During the day of the Lord, Jesus Christ will judge the hearts of all people. Jesus will punish all who are His enemies. Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.

11/29/15

Story: Genesis 2:17, 3, Exodus 12:21-30, 1 Peter 2:24, John 3:16, John 1:29 Jesus is the lamb who takes away the sin of the world. He is worshiped in heaven. The children’s version of the story that was told during Sunday School can be downloaded here

Main Verse: “To the Lamb be praise and honor.” ~Revelation 5:13

Main Truths: The wages of sin is death, but God provided a substitute. God took the punishment; Jesus died to save people so they wouldn’t have to be separated from Him forever. In heaven, Jesus is worshipped as the Lamb.

Main Truths: Everyone in heaven worships God. Jesus allowed John see into heaven. John saw God’s throne. Only God is worshipped in heaven. Only God is to be worshipped.

Story: Daniel 6. God rescues Daniel from the lions den

Main Verse: “He rescues and he saves…He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.” -Daniel 6:27

Main Truth: God’s power surrounds God’s people.
